UPPER SCHOOL
GRADE 6 TO GRADE 11
The Upper School at Providence Christian Academy is where students are challenged to grow academically, spiritually, and personally as they prepare for the future. With a focus on excellence in every area, our program equips students with the tools they need to succeed in college, careers, and life while staying grounded in their faith.

Each day begins with prayer and Bible study, providing students with a Christ-centered foundation for their academic pursuits. Weekly chapel offers additional opportunities for spiritual growth as students actively participate by reading Scripture, leading worship, and contributing to a vibrant community of faith. These experiences help them develop confidence and leadership skills that extend far beyond the classroom.

Academically, our Upper School program blends rigorous, reputable Christian curricula that challenge students to think critically, write effectively, and solve problems creatively. Core subjects are taught with a biblical worldview, helping students see the connections between their studies and God’s purpose for their lives. From mastering advanced math concepts to exploring literature and history, students are encouraged to deepen their understanding while building the skills needed for higher education and lifelong learning.

Students are encouraged to develop a strong work ethic, both in and out of the classroom. Outside assignments are thoughtfully designed to challenge their understanding, reinforce key concepts, and foster independent learning. As students progress through the grades, the level of outside work evolves, preparing them for the demands of higher education and future responsibilities. These assignments are purposeful and manageable, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning while building skills like time management, critical thinking, and personal accountability.

In addition to academics, students participate in enrichment programs that inspire creativity, collaboration, and physical well-being. Twice a week, chorus and theater classes give them the chance to develop their artistic talents, whether by harmonizing with their peers or performing on stage. Students also enjoy physical education twice a week, where they build fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship, as well as art classes that allow them to explore their creativity and express themselves visually. These experiences foster teamwork, self-expression, and a sense of accomplishment, as well as offering opportunities to glorify God through their gifts.
Our small class sizes and close-knit community ensure that each student receives individual attention from teachers who are dedicated to their success. Our experienced Christian educators are not just instructors but mentors, guiding students to grow in wisdom, character, and faith as they prepare to make a meaningful impact in the world.

The Upper School at Providence Christian Academy provides more than just an education—it offers a transformative experience that equips students to excel in every area of life. Whether they’re leading worship in chapel, solving a complex equation, or delivering a monologue on stage, our students are prepared to honor Christ in all they do and confidently pursue the calling He has for their lives.
